ACCESS CONTROL

When a person arrives at the building in the morning, he/she shows his/her card to the card-reader. The system automatically switches off all the alarms for those areas to which that person has authorised access before opening the door and automatically switching on the lighting for the necessary locations. In case of attempts to gain unauthorised access, cameras record and store images for later scrutiny. All controls and monitoring are handled area by area, making it easy to create different settings to target different areas correctly. 

The system identifies each person with authorised access to the building, so issuing access rights is flexible and easy. A lost key can be deleted from the system immediately, eliminating the risk of misuse.

All the hardware devices in the system are protected with a cover switch. Data traffic is encrypted using a powerful AES 128 bit encryption protocol. The system immediately initiates an alert  when anunauthorized entry into the system is attempted.  Cabling for the sensors is also secure, and the system initiates an alert when it detects any short-circuit or break in the wiring. When the last person leaves the building in the evening,the alarms can either be activated with a reader, timer, or automatically.

Alarms for a certain area of the building can be transferred to the alarm centre or sent as a text message, or can trigger a relay in the local alarm system. Different types of alarm – eg, intruder, smoke, temperature, humidity, electrical outage, door alarm and malfunction alert – can be transferred to different recipients.  Details such as location and area data can be received from each alarm point. Instructions can be allocated to areas and locations giving the recipient details on what steps to take in the case of an alarm.

ZILAR enables camera surveillance with recording capability at no extra cost. Cameras, connected to a local area network (LAN), transfer the images reliably even over long cable connections. Recording can be triggered by an alarm, selected authorised access events or unauthorised access attempts. The software also records the situation seconds before the alarm. Night time recording of the parking area can be set using a timer.

A specific camera can be started to record over a remote connection to check, for instance, whether the alarm was caused by employee negligence or by smoke. The images are browsable and can be viewed with a web browser from any geographical location. The images can also be transferred to a mobile phone.
